The Swedes had a great marketing department, apparently. These ads advertise the wonderfully boxy Volvo 740 Turbo. If I saw these ads I would make a beeline for the dealership for one of these things. The last one may be a still from a TV ad, I'm not really sure.

This one's my favorite.

Because racecar, apparently.

The 140-series had some cool ads too:

These would last much longer than 11 years (the Amazons would too), I guess a very small percent of the cars were wrecked back then. Even I can remember when 140's were a common sight in traffic.

I love all these ads.

I've tried to find poster versions of them for so long but never have much luck.
